ClassiLike 2: Robert the Rabbit
Rebecca Crown Hall, Jerusalem TheatreA project of Mifal Hapayis (Israel)
The Israel Festival is proud to host the premiere of the second season of the ClassiLike Series – musical-theater shows developed with support from Mifal Hapayis, Israel’s National Lottery.
Duration: 50 minutes (without intermission)
Robert the Rabbit discovers that while Sergei Prokofiev’s work “Peter and the Wolf” features a duck and a bird, it has no rabbit. Filled with a sense of mission, Robert leaves everything behind to go to far-off Russia to meet Mr. Prokofiev and convince him to include a rabbit in the story.
This lively musical drama was written as a kind of homage to “Peter and the Wolf.” The large symphony orchestra will accompany Robert the Rabbit and his friends on their adventures, and together we will get to know each of the characters as they sail on the wings of imagination.
