ClassiLike 2: Bells of the Heart

The Israel Festival is proud to host the premiere of the second season of the ClassiLike Series – musical-theater shows developed with support from Mifal Hapayis, Israel’s National Lottery.

A good king gives his people a special gift: magic bells that can express their innermost feelings. The kingdom’s inhabitants live in peace, tranquility and cooperation thanks to the melody produced by the magic bells. But when the king dies, a wicked knight takes his place and forbids the bells to be rung.
“Bells of the Heart” is a theatrical musical work inspired by a story by Shlomo Abas. The work is dedicated to the Ensemble Inbalim, Israel’s only handbell ensemble, which is directed by Idit Schechtman. The text was written by Ephraim Sidon, in his own inimitable language full of humor and charm.
