A Salute to the Yellow Submarine on Its 25th Anniversary
The Israel Festival is proud to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Yellow Submarine. One of Jerusalem’s most important and beloved cultural centers, the Yellow Submarine offers a venue for live concerts, a recording studio, a rehearsal space, an advanced school for sound, Music Education Department the Up and Coming Bands Project, the annualInternational Jazz and International Music Showcase Festival, Israel.
To launch the celebrations, the Sub-mobile, a vintage VW van, will tour around the city, presenting concerts by beloved musicians in the heart of several neighborhoods.
June 6 at the Kiryat Yovel Simon Bolivar Park: The Marsh Dondurma brass ensemble.
June 7 at the Gonenim Music Center: Erez Lev Ari, with songs from his upcoming album and hits from his gold album “The Joy of Small Details.”
June 9 at the Magic Garden in Musrara: Erez Simon and his band, with original arrangements of songs sung by Zohar Argov, Jacky Mekaiten, Haim Moshe, Aris San, Margalit Tzan’ani and Eyal Golan.
