The Israel Festival invites the general public to come to the Jerusalem Theatre’s Sherover Plaza to hang out and enjoy live music, DJs, beer and
coffee before the performances begin.
An original video-mapping work by the artist Nevet Yitzhak will be projected onto the building’s façade, which was designed by artist Yechiel Shemi. Nevet Yitzhak is a winner of the Tel Aviv Museum’s Shmuel Givon Prize, the Culture and Sport Ministry’s Creative Encouragement Award, and the Israel Museum’s Beatrice S. Kolliner Award for a Young Israeli Artist.
Music by various DJs will be played in the open-air café. as part of a collaboration with Uganda and with the Confused Machines music label.
A revival of the performance art work “Rest” by iconic artist Adina Bar-On will be shown in the theater lobby approximately half an hour before the performances begin.
